Hi, I’m Sammy, the person behind Pony Dreams

Ponies have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up riding, competing and spending every spare moment at the yard, and I was lucky enough to represent Great Britain in pony showjumping, winning two European gold medals along the way.

My riding journey continued into horses and, at just 18 years old, I jumped my first World Cup at Millstreet in Ireland. I later became a BHS-qualified instructor, and over the years I’ve seen just how much ponies can teach children, from confidence and responsibility to resilience, friendship and simply having fun.

I created Pony Dreams because I wanted to bring that real pony experience into books that young riders genuinely enjoy using. Whether a child owns a pony, rides at a riding school, needs a little extra support or is still dreaming of their first pony, I want them to feel that Pony Dreams was made for them.

Everything I create combines genuine equestrian knowledge with plenty of fun, imagination and encouragement, because every pony journey deserves to be celebrated.
