About Pony Dreams

Pony Dreams was created from a lifetime of muddy boots, early mornings at the yard, pony club rallies, and a deep understanding of what it means to be completely pony-mad as a child.

I’m Sammy, the creator behind Pony Dreams, and horses have shaped my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up riding, caring for ponies, learning responsibility long before I realised that’s what it was, and experiencing the magic that only children who love horses truly understand.

One thing I noticed over the years — both as a rider and now as an adult — is that pony-mad children don’t just love riding. They love thinking about ponies, talking about ponies, drawing ponies, dreaming about ponies and learning everything they can about them. That love doesn’t stop when they leave the yard.

Pony Dreams was created to give children a way to enjoy that passion away from the stable.

Where the books began

The first Pony Dreams book was designed as a fun activity and quiz book packed with puzzles, colouring pages, mazes and pony-care knowledge. It wasn’t meant to be “educational” in a formal sense — it was meant to be something pony-mad children would want to pick up because it felt like it belonged to their world.

From there came the journals.

I realised there were two types of pony-mad children:

  • those lucky enough to already have or loan a pony

  • those who dream of owning one someday

So I created two 52-week undated journals:

  • The Pony Owner Journal — a place to record rides, set goals, track progress and reflect on time spent with their pony

  • The Future Pony Owner Journal — a space for dreaming, learning, planning and imagining life as a pony owner

Because they are undated, they can be started at any time of year, making them perfect gifts as well as practical keepsakes.

Expanding Pony Dreams

As Pony Dreams grew, so did the idea that these characters and designs didn’t have to live only in books. Pony Products was created to bring the same colourful, cheerful pony world onto everyday items — gifts and accessories pony-mad children can enjoy in daily life.

These products are made to order to allow us to offer a wide range without waste, and to keep creating new designs inspired by the pony world children love so much.

Why Pony Dreams exists

Pony Dreams isn’t just a brand. It’s a reflection of the pony-mad childhood so many of us remember — and so many children are living right now.

It’s for the child who talks about ponies non-stop.
The one who draws horses in the margins of their school books.
The one who counts down the days until their next ride.
And the one who dreams of the pony they’ll have one day.

Because being pony-mad isn’t just a hobby.
It’s a whole world.

And Pony Dreams was created to bring a little piece of that world home.
